How to save money when booking a trip with contiki or top deck!

Mykonos, Greece

Traveling is amazing, but the prep work before hand can be exceptionally tedious. Whether it'd because you'd rather delegate the hours which can be spent planning for a trip, or because you'd like to meet new friends, booking through a tour company has a variety of benefits. And In this post I'm going to share the biggest one of all: It's SO easy to save up to 20% off your total trip!

Now these discounts or 'rewards' as companies often refer to them are sometimes hard to find on the webpage, because obviously they'd much prefer for you to book and pay full price.

But almost all companies will give you a discount if you're willing to do any of the following:

Pay in advance
General rule of thumb for this one is pay the full fee 6 months in advance and save of that payment. For top deck its 5%!

Bring a friend (or three!)
Obviously the ultimate goal for any tour company is to fill up each tour completely. Group bookings play a huge part in this and those who rope others into their travels are rewarded with a discount on their trip. The discount is often a pyramid style, so the more friends you bring the more you save. You get to travel and make memories with people you love and as a bonus you all save some extra cash!

Stay loyal
Traveled with a company and had a great experience? If you're wanting to do another tour then consider rebooking with them as a return passenger. Or if you're going to multiple destinations book all your tours at once. I personally always travel top deck, and manage to save 5% each time.

Be a student
It is literally that simple. Flash your student ID at the travel agency or use a school related email when booking online to verify your student status. Because let's be real, being the poor student with dreams to travel hit's a little too close to home.
