Makeup Haul: Priceline 40% Off Sale

I walked into Priceline's 40% off sale with the intention of purchasing two things, one of which was sold out so you'd assume I walked away with one item. I left with six.

Loreal Cushion foundation
Lately I've been foregoing foundation entirely, choosing to wear only concealer and powder. I have fairly good skin (thankfully!) so I really have no need for a full coverage foundation, plus I hate the feeling of product on my skin. I first saw one of these 'cushion foundations' at myer, I played with a few from Lancome and loved the concept. It's a bit of a gimmick but it's also very fun, and super travel friendly. There was one of these left in my colour at priceline so naturally I took that as a sign from the universe and added it to my basket.

essence clear brow gel, australis metallix

(L) pearl jammin (R) guns and rose petals

I also picked up a clear brow gel (what i actually needed) and also a new australis metallix eyeshadow, which wasn't originally on my list, but was something I'd been meaning to buy for a while. You guys have heard me rave about the shadow in pearl jammin, the pigmentation and shimmer is on par with the stila magnificent metals and you can't beat the price! I'd been wanting a cool toned shadow and ended up with guns and roses - which reminds me a lot of stila kitten.

Finally I purchased three lip products, none of which I needed but y'all know I have a problem. I got one of the Maybelline colour blur pencils in cherry cherry bang band - love the colour HATE the formula. It slides around on my lips and transfers way too easily, leaving my lips looking blotchy and uneven.

I also picked up two max factor lipsticks, purely because the colours caught my eye. I've never really delved into max factor as a brand, I have one of their single eyeshadow's which is ok, but nothing to write home about. I think for the price I'd usually just rather spend the extra $7 and get something from mac. But with the discount the prices were more reasonable, so I chose two neutral (and somewhat boring) colours. Macaroon dust is a light pink, lighter then my current every day choice which is Mac cherish, and slightly more salmony as well. Burnt caramel is darker though still in the nude family, and at the time of purchase I was thinking about the dark nude trend that kylie Jenner kick started. This colour doesn't even remotely fit in that category, but it may be as close as I'll ever get. J x
